Tarpon Springs is a small community in Pinellas County, Florida. It is best known for its Sponge Docks on the Anclote River, which contain natural sponge beds that first attracted Greek sponge divers to the area. The Greek community is still very prominent in Tarpon Springs, as can be witnessed by the authentic Greek cuisine and souvenir shops located throughout the city.
